Another weigh in and I put 7 flipping pounds on! I was under my calorie target (as per MyFitnessPal) every day bar one (and even then I was only a couple of hundred calories over, thank you red wine!), so how? I mean if I am doing everything right, according to the dieticians, so why am I not losing any weight?

  • Seeded sourdough, butter and Quorn – 7
  • Tea with milk – 1
  • Spinach, Red Pepper & Greek Feta Quiche, rocket salad, baby tomatoes  – 19
  • Creamy coconut lentil curry with Halloumi, Peshwari naan bread – 14
  • Cheese and herb sub roll with butter and Quorn – 4
  • Pea and new potato curry with naan bread – 2
  • Eggs and bread
  • Cauliflower cheese – 1

Plant points for the week = 48

Physio

M – 1 x 5

Tu – 2 x 5

W – 2 x 5

Th – 1 x 10

F – 2 x 5

Sa – 1 x 5

Su – 1 x 5

This shows the type of food I am eating, and my physio (I am trying to slowly increase my stamina on that, I don’t want to push myself too far, too fast and set myself right back again). Anyway I will keep trying and hope that at some point the hard work will pay off!

I’m not trying anymore. It just doesn’t matter! I think the “trying” part is the one that brings body into “stress” and you know what body does in stress….

I know but my right ankle was shattered (part of the bone has been removed) and two years ago I broke my LEFT leg just above the knee (couldn’t be the same, already damaged leg … nah that would be TOO easy lol) and so for health/physical reasons I need to shift a LOT of weight (I was 25 stone, 350 lbs, 159 kg and that is not good).

I’m sorry to hear that! That must be really hard. I’m around 115 kg myself, and nothing really helped me either, so lately I’ve been going back to more “normal” 80s-style eating — balanced meals with vegetables, potatoes, meat, and gravy (but not drowning everything in sauce 😄).

I’m down to 112 kg in just a few weeks. I’ve noticed that if I eat balanced and tasty food, losing weight feels much easier than with strict restrictions or diets. Also, not eating late at night helps a lot… and honestly, drinking enough water matters too.
