Day 128 of 1001

Well the weekend was ….. odd! After a late night Friday night (more Saturday morning!) we planed to go out, get shopping, lunch and then chill for the evening with an earlyish night and the back massage. Best laid plans and all that though, Dr Tempe went out to the car, opened it, turned the ignition and …. nothing (well lights on the dash came on and there was a click, but that was it!), he tried again and again, checked for Clio starting problems on line and did everything suggested and still nothing! So a call out to Green Flag was needed and they came out nice and promptly and sorted it out (it turns out that the connection to the starter motor can get corroded because of a design flaw – gee thanks!), we then headed off, got the shopping (and the last couple of sandwiches in the supermarket! which we ate in the car before heading back at 18.30 hours *sigh*). This then threw out the rest of Saturday and indeed Sunday as well!
The upshot of all this is that I still haven't had the massage (plans are now in place for tonight!) – but I have dug out the freebie stitching kits and I plan to rush through those over the next few days – I am hoping some quick finishes will spur me on to greater things! Hmm need to decide if tonights dinner will class as a new recipe or not (will decide that with Dr Tempe!), meanwhile time to get stitching and crack on!

Thanks GreatDaneLover, it proves the usefulness of roadside assistance (or in this case homestart!)
