Food stuff 001

Okay up a little later than I would like but part of that was recovering from the journey yesterday and indeed the weekend in general – I did a LOT more walking than my ankle and pelvis are happy with 😦 still tablets taken with the water and tea drunk all before 11.30! Second mug of tea started at 11.45, third mug of tea at 13.30, tum started grumbling then as well (I actually feel hungry!) no point in eating a Mandarin orange and lunch will be ready in 15 minutes. Before I had the tea I had 750 ml of water, still felt hungry so obviously WAS hungry, did have a Mandarin orange a bit later, now 17.00 and having my 4th tea. Oh had a marmalade sarnie as still hungry! Another brew at 18.45

Weight 22 st and 8 lbs – up 1.5 lbs but I do wonder if that was the pizza last night rather than the weekend in general!

DAY NINE

Key Theme: FAITH

FUEL-NEED SIGNALS

What exactly are your individual fuel needs? Only your body knows for sure. Oh, your doctor or a nutritionist might give you a general idea of the fuel on which you could get along. But even their bodies know a lot more than they do about their individual fuel needs. How can you find out more about these physiological needs and how to satisfy them? By listening carefully to your body’s fuel-need signals. By trusting your body. Listen and think. Listen when your body is just whispering the signal. Don’t wait until it has to scream. By then you will be very uncomfortable. Invite your body to tell you what it needs. Treat it like a friend, and it will become one. Is there anything you can get your body just now? Is there a quiet need you could help satisfy?

“It is the privilege of wisdom to listen.” O. W. Holmes

Food for Thought: Tune in to your body’s signals— all of them.
