Roxy becomes entangled in another murder as she puts her sleuthing skills to work in order to prove that Louise Carlton didn't kill Fred Hill over a pet adoption gone wrong. After all, if Louise goes to jail, who is going to find all the animals at Pet Palace a home.

Roxy has gone to the local Farmer's Market to purchase some apples and she ends up having to break up a spat between the orchard owner (Fred Hill) and the lady (Louise Carlton) who runs the Pet Palace, a rescue centre.  In all the confusion Roxy ends up forgetting to pay for the apples she has taken and so the next day she heads out to the orchard in order to pay. When she gets there though Fred is not around and so she heads out to the orchard to track him down, only to find Louise standing over his dead body, clutching a bloody knife!

Roxy is positive that Louise is innocent and so she sets out to find the truth, oh and Roxy's mother is in town and not just for a visit – so that puts another spanner in the works!
