The first part of the general check in involves knitting, using some Yarnscape sock yarn I started knitting a cowl (one of the things I want to get completed this year!)

The colours are stunning and it knits really easily – the only problem (and hence the MEH) was that I had reached this far and then realised quite a few rows back I had dropped a stitch *sob*, I tried to pick it back up but ended up making it worse and so had to pull it back (I then tried to pick up the stitches around the round and couldn't so all the way back to the beginning it was!), I have now re-started and this is where I am at for the 2nd time.

So I need to crack on with that to get it done and then back to other crafting stuff.

The wine bit of the titles, well we decided to shake things up a bit with my weekend wine (I had got stuck in a bit of a rut and just got the same wine every time I had some and whilst it was nice it was also getting a little boring!) so the first new wine was  Knitting and wine 002

a very pleasant wine indeed (got from the Co-op), this is a nice easy drinking wine and tasty enough to go with anything (I suspect lightly chilled it would even go well at the height of Summer).

The 2nd new wine was from Waitrose

Now this is a lot more robust (it is a wine made from the same grapes that normally go to make Port), this a one for an occasional drink and is a Winter or Autumn wine really – or at least for drinking on a cold night!
