First up the needlepoint, it may be difficult to see but I have started to fill in the orange centres to the medallions, there is also a bit of that colour in the main picture and I hope to get it all done by the end of next week (actually by the end of a week today if the truth be told!), this is now getting to the stage where I at least can see progress happening and I really do think I can get this done and the companion piece started by the end of the year.
Secondly the Winnie the Pooh year, this has not been worked on in WEEKS (oops) but I did get a bit more tum done yesterday, my challenge to myself on this is to get all the gold done by the end of Sunday this week (which might mean a LOT of stitching over the weekend, but hey! not too much of a problem, especially as I can't go shopping this weekend as the car is out of commission), ideally the end of the gold AND start another colour, because at the moment I am not sure I will get this one finished by the end of the year, which is annoying as if I had stuck at it I reckon I could have done.
My desk at the weekend *shudder*, a sure sign again that I have not been at my best for a while – still after a little bit of work today it now looks like this
Still not ideal but getting there, the book in the foreground will go upstairs later, the yarn in the bowl is the needlepoint colours I am working with (other than the white of the dog), the yarn to the left of that will be starting to be knitted into a cowl soon (using the needle you can just see under my phone!), the notepad I am using to keep track of my food Wartime Rations wise so that really needs to be at hand – as indeed do my glasses (darn it getting older!) Other stuff will be gradually got into the right places over the next week or so.
Finally two contented Cairns, they have decided with the rather horrid weather we have been having that staying out of the draft and hibernating is a good idea (and frankly I agree with them!)
