Damage, dogs and tapestry 001

This may not look too bad to the average eye, but seeing as this has been done by the new owner of next door when they were ripping walls and ceilings down it is not good! We have put a note through but heard nothing back, we are not sure where to go from here on it, we do not want to go down the legal route if we can avoid it but looking at this a fair chunk of our own wall will need taking down and re-plastering and that is NOT something we are looking forward to *sigh*

Damage, dogs and tapestry 006

The obligatory dog shot *grin*, the dogs are getting used to all the banging and clattering of the workmen next door (2 months and counting!) and other than the pup still scent marking in the kitchen occasionally, he is starting to chill a little (as can be seen!), I will confess to liking him a lot more when he is cute and spark out (not that I don't love him when he is manic, but he does make it a LOT harder to do lol).

Damage, dogs and tapestry 010

Another dog, this time the tapestry, I am gradually working my way through the deep blue colour, I managed to get some more done on the inner border on the left, it was level with the outer blue border before and so a small amount has been done and I am about to do some more (when I have got another mug of tea and lit a scented candle).

The other thing is another neighbour is being very generous with the fruits of her veg patch! We keep re-jigging the menu plan to use the items as soon as possible, this week we have patty pan squash, runner beans, tomatoes and a cucumber! The toms and cucumber will go well with my lunchtime salads and the squash and beans will make a cracking evening meal (with the last lot of runner beans we made a Palestinian style stew, it is supposed to be with lamb but we did it with Quorn chicken pieces, which meant it was a lot quicker than the 2 to 3 hours they said it would take to cook! I must remember to type that up in my recipe blog this weekend, but as the original not with the Quorn as that is just our twist to make it veggie.)

Right time to craft and chill!
