Crafts and Life

Okay the last couple of weeks have been centred around the letter D for some reason :D, the main one is the final one of the title, we ended up getting rid of the warped and damaged front door with a nice shiny new (wooden) one.

This may not be too clear but this was the old door and

This is the new one (okay so my wonderful OH needs to do some wood filler patching on the base of the naff surround but the door itself is fantastic!, no more sticking, it locks easily and with the handle on the outside as well as the inside I find it easier to open and shut!)

Dogs – well every decent post should have a gratuitous dog shot! and so this is the one for this post LOL

I had hoped to get them lying side by side but being the total hams they are as soon as the camera was pointed at them they sat up!

The desk part is another before and after (well after ish!) I need to try and keep the desk clear as it tends to build up and collect "stuff" very easily, I will probably have another go at this in a week or so but these are the pictures.

The after shot is sligtly better but it could be better still, I need (as I say) to have another go at this, the problem is I also need bits and bobs to hand, but maybe if I could clear a shelf on one of the nearby shelvign units then the only things needing to stay on my desk would be mugs/glasses, my SAD lamp and well – that's it!

Hopefully this weekend some more stuff can leave the building and that might give me a bit of space to move things around (at the moment it all feels like one of those sliding puzzles where you have 8 squares making up some sort of picture and the 9th is the one where you can move stuff to!)
