Crafts and Life

At the end of January I decided to name and shame our rooms! Since then we have been slowly trying to get stuff sorted (and by slowly I mean really slowly!), the main thing is that the spare room/study has been decorated and the general pile of stuff in there is getting sorted through, binned/recycled or sent to the charity shop depending on WHAT it is/was.

Not much change to the living room, I actually suspect this will be the last room to be sorted out as it is the one I spend most of my time in.

The kitchen, well a couple of things have changed, the main thing is the scraggy carboard boxes that contained the home brew beer bottles have gone, replaced with smart and easy to move (by OH!) plastic crates.

Bathroom, well no change here, I do want to sort out the shelves you can to the left/above the cistern, but that isn't vital, mind you it might be easy to do when we have things packed to go away! there are bottles etc on there that either need using or binning. I have used up odds and sods of lotions and potions though, so sample sizes or part used cleanser etc so that has helped a tiny bit!

I know it doesn't look like it but things are changing in this room! In a way this was the worst of the lot as when we moved in it became a dumping ground and OH had to sort of fit his computer and chair around the piles of STUFF! But it is now neater, some has gone and the room is now in cool neutrals (okay the carpet and curtains need changing but that is more long term I think).

Some of the stuff in this room needs to go back in the study (yes I KNOW but the study is getting sorted), I really want this to end up more minimalist and tidied away, the two boxes will then just have the next days clothes out in the evening and other than that it WILL be tidy.

One thing that isn;t currently upstairs that was before is the stand for my stitching frames, mainly because it is downstairs so I can use it to get the tapestry finished off.

Started on the 2nd colour so just need to crack on and get it done!

Finally the Map of Durham, I am really pleased with how I am getting on with this and I really do think that I could have it finished by the end of June!
