Ingredients (8 Servings)
- 4 lbs Chicken Pieces (skinned)
- 2 medium sized Onions (finely chopped)
- 1/2 tsp Cloves (grounded)
- 3 Cinnamon Sticks
- 1/4 tsp Black Pepper (freshly grounded)
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1/2 tsp Fine Herbs
- 5 Garlic (minced)
- 1 tsp Ginger (grounded)
- 3 cups Plain Yogurt
- 3 tbsp Lemon Juice
- 1 1/2 tsp Soy Sauce
Procedure
- Smear the chicken with garlic, fine herbs and black pepper.
- In a large bowl, put the remaining ingredients. Add chicken to it and turn, so as to get coating of the ingredients over it.
- Cover the bowl and let the chicken marinate in the refrigerator for 1 day. Turn the chicken infrequently.
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Take out the chicken from refrigerator and keep it with single coating over it in a big roasting pan.
- Cover it with foil and bake for the next 30 minutes.
- Uncover the chicken and turn the pieces.
- Bake them again for 30 minutes or longer, until the chicken gets slightly brown. If you feel, coating is less, then marinade a little more.
- The luscious Chicken Yoghurt is ready. Serve hot.
